Upon completion of a Mobil Serv℠ Lubricant Analysis, the Mobil Application Engineer provided Tony Stewart Racing Nitro a recommendation to move to an FA-4 diesel engine oil which would allow the team to extend its oil drain intervals – reducing maintenance to just one oil change per season – and improve its fuel economy by 3%.

Impact
TSR Nitro’s adoption of the recommendations strengthened a critical component of the racing team’s operations – its car haulers. The changes made TSR Nitro more efficient, saving multiple hours of maintenance time and 857 gallons of diesel fuel. Additionally, the team is set to save an estimated $4,275 on fuel costs throughout the 2023 season.*
